Properties and areas of application of PVC, FEP and silicone
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is inexpensive, flexible and robust, and offers good electrical insulation. It is well suited for indoor applications and in household and industrial electronics. FEP (fluoroethylene propylene) is resistant to chemicals and heat and is therefore used in demanding environments. Silicone offers excellent flexibility and remains elastic even at low temperatures. Silicone also insulates well against moisture and is suitable for medical and electrical applications.
